Barron’s is seeking an experienced Digital Editor to join its talented news team.
Barron’s strongly values teamwork, so a collaborative approach is required.
This editor ideally would be based in London, working with a team that primarily edits and publishes stories for readers living on the East Coast of the U.S. We are open to other locations, as long as this person can start their workday early in the morning eastern standard time.
Experience editing, rewriting, and publishing news quickly and accurately on deadline at a major publication
Curation of the site's early morning homepages with solid news judgement
Production and editing of our popular daily morning newsletter
A knack for writing attention-grabbing headlines, mobile push alerts, and ledes that inform and educate readers
Expertise with SEO and other digital best practices
Proficiency with data to create and brainstorm charts and graphics that accompany articles
An eye for photos that illustrate our journalism
Knowledge of U.S. markets, financial news, and companies
-Minimum three years editing experience
-Demonstrated experience working with content analytics tools
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative digital newsroom
-Three or more years editing experience
